Is there a connection between inner happiness and economic income per capita?

The answer to this question is negative, and it clearly emerges from the Central Bureau of Statistics' report published today (Tuesday) on the situation of the 16 largest cities in Israel and the various districts in the country. The

parameters for examining the districts and cities in Israel were divided into 52 different quality of life indicators. Theirs establishes a distribution that indicates the quality of life in the cities of Israel and in its districts.

Quality of life: Kfar Saba in Rosh, Jerusalem closes the list

In general, the 16 main and largest cities in the country are divided into 3 levels of Zion: The cities with the highest overall score in the quality of life indices are Kfar Saba, Ramat Gan, Rehovot, Tel Aviv-Yafo and Rishon Lezion.

The cities with the middle grade are: Holon, Beer Sheva, Petah Tikva, Haifa, Netanya and Bnei Brak.

And the list is closed by the cities: Beit Shemesh, Ashkelon, Ashdod, Bat Yam and Jerusalem.

Strengths of the most powerful cities in the country

When you dive into the data, it turns out that the five most powerful cities in Israel are leaders in significant economic areas, such as: employment, housing density, the rate of ability to advance in work, access to computers and the possibility of advancing women.

The investment in urban visibility is also prominent, with an emphasis on parks, recycling, cleanliness and the general environment.

On the other hand, an examination of the cities that close the index also shows a lot about their situation and the large gap between them and the cities that open the table.

This is also evident in their strengths that can be defined as less-material-possessions and more-spiritual-emotional-possessions.

For example, in Beit Shemesh, points such as trust in the health system, self-esteem of health, a sense of ability to deal with problems, a sense of appreciation from family members and engaging in volunteer activities stand out.

Ashkelon leads in the proportion of people with post-secondary education and higher education among those aged 30 and over.

Ashdod is a leader in the highest sense of security in an online environment.

Bat Yam leads with the lowest infant mortality rate, satisfaction with public transportation in the area of residence and trust in the government.

Jerusalem leads in the lowest percentages of feelings of loneliness and feelings of depression.

Tel Aviv District at the top

If Kfar Saba is the city with the best quality of life in Israel, then in terms of the districts in the country the list changes a bit, but here too there is a fairly clear division between economically rich districts and districts whose advantages are more in the mental world.

For example, the Tel Aviv District excels in the number of employees whose job allows for promotion, low infant mortality rate, depression, post-secondary education and higher education, satisfaction with public transportation in the area of residence, trust in the justice system, waste transferred to recycling, sense of ability to deal with problems and use In online government services.

The Central District, second in the ranking, leads in the employment rate, the rate of involuntary part-time employment, median income, job satisfaction, employed persons whose job corresponds to their field of study, matriculation certificate eligibility rate, Gini index for inequality, financial and economic income per capita, Computer accessibility and Internet usage rate.

In the south are satisfied with the degree of residence

Later on, however, the picture changes.

For example, Haifa District, third in the ranking, leads in a low rate of deaths from casualties in road accidents.

The Fourth Southern District leads with a low percentage of dissatisfaction with the length of time to get to work.

The Fifth Northern District leads with a low percentage of households paying for housing 30% or more of net monetary income, a low percentage of the cost of housing services out of disposable income, and a sense of appreciation from family members.

The Jerusalem District, sixth in the ranking, leads in a low rate of homicides, as well as civic involvement and satisfaction with the balance between work and other areas of life.

The only exception is the Judea and Samaria District, the last in the district ranking, which leads to the lowest prolonged unemployment rate, and has satisfaction with cleanliness in the residential area, satisfaction with parks and green spaces in the residential area, satisfaction with the economic situation and volunteering.

But apparently the security situation puts him at the bottom of the list.
