The Quneitra Agriculture Directorate confirmed that 78 percent of the planned agricultural plan for planting the wheat crop for the current agricultural season, amounting to 9,911 hectares, has been implemented, as about 7,800 hectares have been cultivated until today.

The Director of Agriculture, Eng. Ahmed Theeb, told SANA that wheat cultivation is continuing with the aim of cultivating all the lands that can be invested with the wheat crop.

Theeb indicated that the Directorate, in cooperation with the Peasants' Union and cooperative societies, secures the requirements for wheat cultivation of seeds, fuels and fertilizers, and forms spatial committees in each administrative unit whose task is to inspect and submit periodic reports to implement the plan for the current agricultural season and cultivate every inch of land with wheat crops, including areas outside the plan.
