, as the Tyrolean police announced on Monday evening.

According to the
investigators, they
assume that the 28-year-old tore his daughters from their lives shortly after Christmas by "using violence against the neck".
The
alleged perpetrator
was reportedly after a suicide attempt in the evening in the Zams hospital.
As the
Tyrolean daily
reported online, the
mother of the children
was apparently not in the house at the time of the crime, but at her workplace.
When she couldn't reach her husband by phone, she informed the police.

The background to the crime initially seemed completely unclear.
According to the report, the 28-year-old was neither "officially known", nor was there a ban on approaching the children or the house.
The alleged perpetrator himself could
not be questioned
on Monday
