Next year not only comes with good wishes: it also comes with a battery of

increases for those who live in or transit Buenos Aires soil

.

Fines and highways in January.

Taxis, VTV and parking in February.

Subway in March and April or May.

The first rise on the agenda is that of

traffic violations

: the Fixed Unit (UF) increases by 82.5%, the value taken as a reference for payment.

From January 4, each one will cost $ 39.05 and not $ 21.40, as it had been paid since February 2019, the last increase.

The new amount will impact the entire universe of offenses committed in the City of Buenos Aires and even

those that have not been canceled by their debtors.

Thus, a fine

for speeding will be worth between $ 2,733 and $ 156,200.

And, in the event of a red light violation, between $ 11,715 and $ 58,575 will be paid.

Buenos Aires highways will have an increase of 55% from mid-January.

The value of each UF, which has not been updated since February 2019, is equivalent to the cost of half a liter of the highest octane gasoline at the

Automóvil Club Argentino (ACA)

headquarters

.

The next increase on the agenda is that of the

Buenos Aires highways: they

will rise

55% in mid-January.

The last increase had been in January 2019, of the order of 35%.

If the increase is applied to the amount of the payment with Telepase, the peak hour on the 25 de Mayo and Perito Moreno highways

will go to $ 118.50.

At times of lesser circulation it will be $ 83.70.

In the Illia, the peak hour with Telepase will amount to $ 48.80 and the non-peak, to $ 34.87.

For the rest of the increases there will be

public hearings in January.

However, they are not binding processes, so uploading them is already a fact, regardless of those debates.

The value of the taxi token will also suffer increases.

This is how it is already known that

taxis will increase by 44% in two stages

: the first, in February, will raise the day token from $ 5.95 to $ 7.14, with a flag drop to $ 71.40.

The night token will amount to $ 8.57.

In April, a taxi will cost $ 8.57 per tab, while the flag drop will climb to $ 85.70.

At night, the token will cost $ 10.28.

The last increase in taxis had been in February of this year.

The CNG, which represents 41% of the cost of taxi drivers, rose 32% from that month until now.

The

Verification Technical Vehicle (VTV)

and metered parking will

also increase in February.

VTV will go up 45%, so cars will pay $ 2,665 instead of $ 1,838.

The motorcycles, meanwhile, will pay $ 1,002 instead of $ 691.

Parking, meanwhile, will be double:

the value of the hour will jump from $ 15 to $ 30.

A year and a half ago that amount was not adjusted.

Due to the pandemic, the parking lot continues to operate as if it were a Sunday.

Therefore, the new rate will take effect as

soon as metered parking is resumed.

Last but not least:

March

will see the first of the two increases that

subway users

will experience

in the first half of the year.

Both raises will add 43%, so the ticket will go from being worth $ 21 to $ 25.50.

The second stage of raising the subway, planned for April or May, will take the ticket to $ 30. It will also raise the Premetro, which will jump from $ 7.50 to $ 10.70.

The last increase was in late November, when it increased by $ 2.

With the upgrades,

the subway's tiered fare

system will remain in force

: passengers will have automatic discounts of 20%, 30% and 40% once they exceed 20, 30 or 40 monthly trips, respectively.

In addition, retirees and pensioners, people with disabilities and those who have a student ticket will not pay a pass.
