The rush for the coveted vaccination has begun - but there are no appointments even for people over 80 unless they live in a home.
Hotlines are overloaded and anyone who makes their way to the vaccination center is turned away.
Munich - Andrea P. from
Munich-Pasing
tried everything, really everything,
to organize
a
corona vaccination
for her father Hans
.
The 81-year-old is about to have
cancer surgery
and would like to be vaccinated before the operation.
First his daughter tried the central Munich hotline.
"You can't get through with them." Then on duty at 116 117, through which you are put
through to the responsible vaccination center
after entering
your
postcode
.
Allegedly.
There is only one number for all of Munich - 089/94 94 11 00. “I was thrown off the line six times,” complains Andrea P.
Alois W. also had this experience, the
Olchinger
wanted to
arrange vaccination appointments
for his
Munich in-laws
, 83 and 90 years old.
He failed.
"What kind of
organizational chaos is it
, the TV pictures with the first vaccinations were probably pure PR", says Andrea P. annoyed.
Desperate search for a vaccination appointment: hotlines not yet activated or overloaded
Just like you, countless citizens are doing these days, who were suggested that they could register
for vaccination
via a
hotline
.
But the hotlines are either not activated or overloaded - in
Munich *
as well as in the Upper Bavarian districts.
In the
Weilheim
vaccination center
*
alone
there were 600 callers on Sunday, and
1000
in
Erding.
For example,
Fürstenfeldbruck
, where there is a dedicated hotline with the Bruck area code.
Here, too, callers have no chance: They end up on
hold
, if they get through at all.
"We have a
technical problem,
" says BRK district manager Rainer Bertram.
And anyway, the
few vaccination doses are reserved for old people's homes
.
He is putting off until January.
Some seniors even drop by the vaccination center in their desperation to get an appointment.
But that is pointless, says Bertram.

Desperate search for a vaccination appointment: only in Erding there are appointments for non-residents
A
hotline
for
Bad Tölz
can be found on the
website of the Ministry of Health
- but it has not yet been activated.
District administrator Josef Niedermaier has communicated that
over 80-year-olds would be informed by letter when
individual appointments
would be made
.
In
Starnberg
, appointments are only possible “in the course of January”, explains Lukas Messerschmidt, the administrative manager of the vaccination center in the district.
An exception is
Erding
, where around 100 vaccination appointments were set daily until January 16.
At the same time, the vaccinations in the homes will not start until this Wednesday.
The
deliveries with vaccination doses
are only half as large as expected, says project manager Christian König.
"I understand the displeasure."
There are three vaccination centers in the Munich district - in
Haar
,
Unterschleißheim
and
Oberhaching
.
An appointment is currently "not yet possible", the district office says, calls are pointless.
You get written to, only then does a call make sense.
There are
fraudsters for this
- the Garching mayor warns that citizens have been called and that they can be
vaccinated against payment of a sum of money
.
This is of course "a scam".
Vaccination is free.
When you get an appointment.
