Winner of the series between the two teams in the finals of the 2020 season, the Heat never managed to exist during this meeting, led standing at the end by the Bucks, with a gap increased to 51 points.

The 28th three-point shot was scored by back Sam Merril, at the same time erasing the previous record, held by the Houston Rockets against the Phoenix Suns, on April 7, 2019.

Arriving in the offseason from New Orleans, Jrue Holiday scored six award-winning shots, ending the game with 24 points while winger Khris Middleton added 25, including four of five award-winning shots attempted.

Full-back Donte DiVincenzo for his part scored 17 points, so five 3-pointers while pivot Brook Lopez participated in the fireworks with three award-winning shots, ending the game with 14 points.

The only player not to take part in the record, the double holder of the title of best player of the season, Giannis Antetokounmpo did not have a great game, with only 9 points scored.

“We played hard, we know the Heat's way of playing, it doesn't matter who's up against them,” explained Jrue Holiday, “we wanted to replicate that approach”.

This large victory compensates for the loss for the New York Knicks on Sunday by 130-110.

"It looks like they've had this game in mind for 80 days," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said in reference to the two sides' last encounter in the final stages.

The Knicks followed with another victory last night over the Cleveland Cavaliers, 95-86, led by a gala Julius Randle, ending the game with a triple double: 28 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists.
