Former international goalkeeper Thierry Omeyer has been appointed general manager of Paris SG handball after the departure of Bruno Martini, the capital club announced in a statement Wednesday.
"The assumption of office of the former international goalkeeper, who has held the position of sports coordinator of the handball section since the end of his sports career in June 2019, will be effective from January 2021," said PSG.

With an impressive track record both in club and with the France team, Thierry Omeyer, 44, succeeds another former international goalkeeper.
Bruno Martini will leave office on January 15, the statement said.
"Thierry Omeyer evolved for five seasons under the jersey of Paris Saint-Germain, winning five French championship titles, two French Cups, three League Cups and two Champions Trophies", underlined the Paris SG, "proud to involve former players in the management of the club ”.
Reunion with Daniel Narcisse
Among these “former players”, Thierry Omeyer, retired since the summer of 2019, will find his former teammate in Paris and in the French team, Daniel Narcisse, in charge of coordinating PSG handball business development.
Among the challenges that await Omeyer, winning a first European coronation, which still eludes the club, champion of France seven times (2013, 2015 to 2020).
On Monday and Tuesday, the club once again failed to lift the Champions League trophy, on the occasion of its fourth “Final Four” in Cologne, and finished in third place.
From January 15th, @Thierry_Omeyer will be the new general manager of Paris Saint-Germain Handball.
