The corona vaccinations in the Munich district have started.

But: how do you get an appointment?

And when is who's turn?

Everything you need to know is here.

District -

The three vaccination centers in the district have been operational since December 15th and have been active since December 27th.

However, only to the extent that vaccination teams move from there to retirement and care facilities.

There has been a lot of confusion over the past few days about making individual appointments at the vaccination centers.

District Administrator Christoph Göbel explained the district's vaccination strategy in a virtual press conference on Tuesday afternoon - we summarize the most important questions and answers.

Who will be vaccinated first?

According to the federal vaccination ordinance, the group of those who enjoy the highest priority is clearly defined.

This includes all persons over the age of 80, staff from nursing homes and employees of outpatient care services as well as employees in medical facilities who are exposed to a particularly high risk of infection (e.g. in emergency rooms or in intensive care units) or who treat people who are particularly at risk (e.g. in transplant medicine) .

In what order do the district vaccination centers take care of this prioritized group of people?

First, mobile teams visit the retirement homes to vaccinate the elderly and employees.

"The aim is to give this particularly vulnerable group comprehensive protection as quickly as possible," says District Administrator Christoph Göbel.

“As soon as the vaccine is available in larger quantities, the capacities for individual vaccination appointments should be activated step by step.” In total, around 23,000 people over 80 live in the Munich district, 3700 of them in care facilities.

They are all written to by the district.

Why are individual appointments not yet possible in the three vaccination centers in the district?

"Because there are far too few vaccine doses available so far," says District Administrator Christoph Göbel.

At the start of the vaccination on Sunday, the district received 100 vaccine doses “as a symbolic sum”.

Yesterday 975 vaccination doses were delivered, the next batch (approx. 1300) has been announced for New Year's Eve.

“Up until now, the vaccination doses were distributed independently of the number of inhabitants, but that is now changing - then it will fit.

The previous number of batches was far too small. ”Göbel expects a“ noticeable increase ”“ in a few weeks ”.

Appointment time slots in the vaccination centers are "targeted from mid-January" - until then, vaccinations will only take place in homes by mobile teams.

How does the appointment arrangement work?

You can register by phone or online - but only as soon as appointment slots are available.

Therefore, the online input mask has now been adapted: The form to be filled out by those willing to vaccinate is initially hidden as long as no appointments can be booked.

Currently, only the info box is visible, which was previously above the form field and was obviously not noticed by many.

The following is currently highlighted: “No appointment bookings are currently possible”.

How can the vaccination centers be reached by phone?

Via the on-site hotlines.

Impfzentrum Haar (Wasserburger Straße 43-47): 089/2 48 80 66 60;

Unterschleißheim vaccination center (Volksfestplatz at the corner of Stadionstrasse / Münchner Ring): 089/3 12 03 44 22;

Impfzentrum Oberhaching (Kolpingring 16): 089/2 48 86 19 60. The vaccination centers are manned daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., but cannot be entered without an appointment.

Who runs the district's vaccination centers?

In Haar the Malteser, in Oberhaching the Johanniter, in Unterschleißheim the BRK.

What about the fourth vaccination center in the Würmtal?

The preparations for a vaccination center in Neuried are in full swing - it is going to be a container solution like in Unterschleißheim (which is currently responsible for the Würmtal).

If an appointment has been made, what do you have to bring to the vaccination?

ID card, vaccination certificate (if available);

ideally also important documents on previous illnesses (e.g. cardiac card, diabetic ID, medication list).
