Until the closing of the lists, the parties continue to recruit influential figures.

"Israel Today" has learned that both Gideon Saar's party "Tikva Hadasha" and the Likud party are looking to add a Russian figure to the list.

The goal: Lieberman's votes.

The Likud wants to strengthen a Russian figure after the departure of Zeev Elkin.

As you may recall, in the September 2019 elections, the Likud invested a lot of resources in the Russian sector, presented some "defectors" from Yisrael Beiteinu who moved to the Likud, held field conferences and invested in advertising to the Russian public.

At the same time, Gideon Saar's party is looking for another Russian figure besides Elkin to be placed on the list, albeit in the lower places.

The party is voting on a large potential pool of voters who are with Lieberman and fit into Saar's party - right-wingers who oppose Netanyahu - and believe that with the right field work they can transfer at least two seats to them.

Meanwhile, negotiations continue between Bezalel Smutrich and Naftali Bennett regarding a joint run on the right-wing list.

Smutrich demands four seats in the top ten for his party (National Union), Bennett is willing to give two seats.

The compromise, party officials say, is quite clear and will likely end in three places.

Smutrich's second option is to form a party of religious Zionism and strengthen it with the members of the Jewish House and Itamar Ben Gvir, with whom relations are shaky.

What's more, it will allow Smutrich only two places in the first four, so he will reach the same result only with many quarrels and difficulties along the way.

It is estimated that the negotiations between Smutrich and the right will end in one unified list
