Hill fires continued to occur in Ma Tso Lung, Sheung Shui last night.
At 10:22 last night (30th), a hill fire broke out on the hillside of Xinyi New Village, Ma Cao Lung, Sheung Shui. Many people reported that there were residential houses at the foot of the hill.
The area of the fire site was about 400 meters by 50 meters, and the fire was put out by the mountain climbers. The fire has since been put out.
However, at 0:55 a.m. today (31st), the fire department again received a hill fire report, stating that a fire broke out on the hillside near Sheung Shui Tie Hang. The dragon was 800 meters long and was also close to Ma Tso Lung.
At 2:09 am and 2:46 am, the firefighter received reports successively, saying that the Tiekeng Mountain Fire was adjacent to the residential buildings and the firefighter used a fire hose reel to fight the fire.
The fire was put out at 4:46 in the morning.
