Eyraud knight of the Legion of Honor, the Order of Merit for Prudhomme

The president of OM, the director of the Tour and other personalities from the world of sport were awarded the Legion of Honor and the National Order of Merit.


Jacques-Henri Eyraud, the president of the Olympique de Marseille, is one of the personalities distinguished by the Republic decorated with the Legion of Honor and the National Order of Merit.

The Marseille leader was knighted on a proposal from the Interior Ministry, for his “31 years of service”. 

Other big names in French sport were distinguished: Frédérique Jossinet (Olympic vice-champion in judo and head of the French Football Federation for the development of women's football), Jean-Claude Senaud (former national technical director of the Federation French Judo) were also knighted. 

Christian Prudhomme, director of the Tour de France received the General Order of Merit.

Finally, Olivier Krumbholz, coach of the Blue in handball is also in this promotion to the rank of knight.
