French skipper Yannick Bestaven (master Coq IV) kept 140 miles ahead of his compatriot Charlie Dalin (Apivia) at the head of the Vendée Globe on Friday evening, a stable gap compared to the midday point.
Approaching Cape Horn, the two competitors had a very clear margin over the rest of the fleet, Thomas Rettant (LinkedOut) being third at more than 470 miles.
