"I have said it before, Trump is like Saddam Hussein. Saddam attacked us for eight years and eventually fell. Trump imposed an economic siege on us and in the near future will be fired not only from office but from life. The disappearance of criminal Trump will bring peace and stability to the region and the world. "Many but the economic siege of Iran and the assassination of Qassem Suleimani are crimes we cannot forgive," the Iranian president said.

"The nations of the entire region and the Iranian nation will avenge Suleimani's death at a time and place appropriate. Trump will be remembered in history as a despicable man for the crimes and atrocities he committed. Suleimani's assassination was a cowardly act and would only harm the enemy," Rouhani added.

The commander of the Revolutionary Guards, Hussein Suleimani, also promised revenge today for the assassination of Suleimani that took place a year ago in Baghdad.

"We are ready to take the path of revenge on Suleimani's blood and free the Muslims from the cultural, political and economic control of the West and the wicked United States," Salami told reporters during a special meeting of Revolutionary Guards leaders on the occasion of the year of assassination.

Meanwhile, one of Iran's most prominent religious leaders, Muhammad Al-Yazid, died today of corona disease after months in a critical condition.

This is the senior cleric in the country who died as a result of the plague.

Hassadi was a personal associate of Qassem Suleimani and is considered one of the rigid ideologues of the Islamic Revolution.
