Police arrested 17 men for anti-speeding in Aberdeen

At about 1 am on Saturday (January 2), the police received a report that a large number of private cars were driving at high speed from Kowloon to Hong Kong, suspected of illegal racing.

The Hong Kong Island Traffic Task Force immediately deployed and erected a roadblock on Wong Chuk Hang Road near the Aberdeen Fire Station on Nan Fung Road. It successfully intercepted 15 vehicles, some of which were carrying passengers.

According to sources, one of the vehicles drove over the roadblock, and after being chased for about 4 kilometers, the police intercepted it on Stubbs Road.

During the operation, 15 male drivers were replenished for "participating in illegal racing"; two other male car owners were also arrested, and some passengers were allowed to pass.

It is reported that some of the arrested persons were once upset.

At the scene, the intercepted private cars included Nissan Silvia, “Broomman”, Audi Quattro, Heiji AMG, Honda Type R, and Honda Civic commonly known as “Flying Chicken”. Some vehicles were also suspected of being illegally modified and all were towed away. Further inspection.
