Corona restrictions and firecrackers ban in public space worked: The citizens largely adhered to the restrictions and celebrated the turn of the year in a disciplined manner at home, as the district office announced.
The police said: "That was a quiet New Year's Eve." As police spokesman Günther Findl reports, there were only a few disturbances on New Year's Eve due to loud music.
According to the District Office, injuries specific to New Year's Eve were not brought to the clinic, but six people were due to alcohol poisoning.
In total, the police recorded 13 violations of the number of allowed households and the exit restrictions.
“They were walkers or people who went home from friends,” says Findl.
The police forwards the reports to the district office, which punishes the violations.
According to the catalog of fines, a violation of the curfew can cost 500 euros.
No fine was due when “Da Mane and de Andern” unpacked their alphorns on New Year's Eve and said goodbye to the old year in style.
Rather, those who happened to pass by were delighted with the beautiful, powerful sounds of the two alphorns that could be heard at Karlsfelder See, above Etzenhausen, at Dachau Castle and at Schinderkreppe.

In times of the pandemic, they are only allowed to appear in pairs and outdoors.
So many strollers, cyclists and joggers were out and about on New Year's Day, like here at Karlsfelder See.
