Scotland announced today that it will once again propose independence from Britain, which today has entered a new phase of problems, including threatening its unity after completing its complete exit from the European Union "Brexit".
AFP quoted Scottish Prime Minister Nicolas Sturgeon as saying on Twitter, "Scotland will return soon, O Europe," in reference to her intention to unify her country from Britain and oppose leaving the European bloc.
Sturgeon renewed her intention to hold a new referendum on her country's independence from Britain, noting that "no agreement can ever compensate for what Brexit took from us."
A few days ago, Sturgeon said on Twitter that "the time has come to chart our own future as an independent European country," adding that "Brexit is achieved against the will of the people of Scotland," who voted 62 percent against leaving the European Union.
Observers expect Britain to face more obstacles and problems, especially in the field of port trade, with the announcement of the Irish Foreign Minister Simon Covney in a radio interview that the trade exchange amounting to 80 billion euros will from now on be exposed to obstacles across the Irish Sea between Britain and Ireland due to controls, permits, bureaucracy, cost and delay.
The prominent port of Holyhead in Wales near Ireland could also see delays in the coming weeks, as the Media Center for Road Traffic in Wales warned on Twitter.
The British House of Commons approved yesterday the trade agreement that regulates relations with the European Union after the end of the post-Brexit transition phase.
