On New Year's Eve, the Tölzer fire brigade had to move out again.

Around 12.30 p.m. there was a fire alarm in the house at the park.

In another fire, the police are looking for witnesses.

Bad Tölz

- The Tölz fire brigade moved out on Thursday afternoon with 17 men and four vehicles.

The cause of the alarm was quickly found: A toilet bag that was lying on a switched-on stove plate was scorched and had thus led to the smoke that had triggered the alarm in the retirement home.

“The respiratory protection team deployed removed the bag and ventilated the living unit,” reports the fire brigade.

The resident was taken over by the BRK rescue service on suspicion of smoke gas poisoning.

After about half an hour, the fire service was over.

Stolen dustbin and then set it on fire

The day before, a garbage can was set on fire by unknown perpetrators in Bad Tölz.

The police are now looking for witnesses.

The incident happened last Wednesday.

At around 0.30 a.m., an unknown male perpetrator stole a garbage can for paper waste in Kolpingstrasse.

At this time, a neighbor of the injured 61-year-old Tölzer had observed a young man with a hood pulling the garbage can through the street.

According to the officials, the neighbor also heard several voices and therefore assumes that a group of people was traveling.

The perpetrator pulled the garbage can to the Girlitzer Weiher.

On the way he scattered some of the contents.

At the Girlitzer Weiher itself, the perpetrator set the remaining contents of the bin on fire.

The container was damaged in the process.

The police put the property damage at around 60 euros.

Witnesses who can provide relevant information are asked to report to the Bad Tölz police station on 0 80 41/76 10 60.
