The population of Venezuela must undergo a "radical quarantine" starting this Monday, January 4 and until Sunday, the 10th. This was announced this Friday by the country's vice president, Delcy Rodríguez.

As Rodríguez explained in a tweet, the questioned president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, decided to "resume the 7 + 7 scheme."
This, added the official, "in attention to the epidemiological development of covid-19 during the month of December."

This confinement scheme allows seven days of work followed by seven days of rigorous quarantine in Venezuela, according to Rodríguez.
The strategy has already been implemented before in Venezuela.
As reported by the Minister of Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez, on Thursday 437 new cases of covid-19 were reported in Venezuela.
