Corona in the Palestinian Authority:

From tomorrow (Sunday), a full closure will be imposed for two weeks in the West Bank following an alarming increase in the rate of morbidity in the PA.

This is a closure in all West Bank districts, during which access will only be allowed to supermarkets, pharma chains, banks and vital workers.

According to World Meter data, there are currently 140,287 infected in Corona in the Palestinian Authority.

1,447 is the death toll in the PA so far, over 120,000 have recovered from the virus.

Beginning in mid-November, there has been a drastic increase in the PA's infection rate, which moderated slightly towards the end of December.

It should be noted that the first vaccine vaccines will not be available until the middle of next month, from the global fundraising venture Cubax.

These are vaccine doses that will be sufficient for 25% of the population in the Palestinian territories, not including the Gaza Strip.

In mid-November, it was reported that between three and four million vaccines would be transferred from Israel to the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, and some of the vaccines would also go to Gaza.

"Israel is committed to helping us curb the virus," a senior Palestinian Authority official told Israel Today.

Senior sources in the Ministry of Health in Ramallah added that in any negotiations to purchase vaccines or order doses from a company with which Israel has or will have a supply agreement, a certain percentage of vaccines will be directed to the Palestinian Authority and the Gaza Strip.

According to the Palestinian source, this is a strategic goal achieved through the joint teamwork of Israeli and Palestinian professionals, and its goal is to distribute the types of vaccines among the Palestinian population.

However, the Palestinians claim that even with the amount of vaccines that will be transferred from Israel and the millions of additional vaccine doses that will be passed by the UN aid funds and international organizations, there will still be a lack of millions of vaccine doses, especially in the Gaza Strip.
