Chen Hanwei has worked in the sports team of Cable News for 16 years. He has been to interviews at many large-scale sports meets and witnessed the peak and decline of Cable News.

He remembers that in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, five sports reporters went north for interviews, and the whole Taiwan sent 50 people to go up; he talked about the 2012 London Olympics and followed up with Liu Xiang, who was injured and retired. The report was faster than CCTV...and also gathered together. The "Football Report" of the 4 major European leagues.

Recalling the glory of the past, but regretting the decline of today, Chen Hanwei, who was laid off in December last year, sighed: "Sigh! Long sigh! Alas!"

Cable News made a major layoff in early December last year. Two senior sports reporters, Chen Hanwei and Limps, were fired.

When asked how many years he had worked in China Cable, Chen Hanwei first sighed "Oh". He said, "I have been working for 16 years, and I joined the first day of November 24, 2004. Why am I deeply impressed? My first colleague was my wife, so this day is also the anniversary of our acquaintance, so this day is of great significance to me. Of course, I am very grateful to this company for bringing a wife to me." Chen Hanwei's wife is Lin Yuejing, a former cable sports and Hong Kong news reporter.

Chen Hanwei is by no means loyal to China Cable. He said with a smile: "During 16 years, I actually went crazy and left. I should have to leave as many times as I want. But I will stay for the answer? Because there are so many opportunities for me. Maybe there will be an Olympic Games, Asian Games or World Cup every other year, and you have to wait for 4 waves at the same time in one night, so that you will continue to improve personally. You are really reluctant to go. Beijing Olympics in 2008, if I can’t go. If you do, I really want to leave."

2008 was the pinnacle of cable sports news. At that time, there were 9 sports reporters, including Chen Hanwei, and 5 reporters went to Beijing for interviews. Even Zhao Yingchun, who was in charge of the news department at the time, was based in Beijing.

He described the resources at that time as quite abundant, "We had our own office in Beijing, and 50 people went there. We all knew that the pinnacle was the one. There will be no one after that. It was so prosperous that there were two clips to help me.哋."

Chen Hanwei remembered the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. In order to send the latest footage back to Hong Kong as soon as possible, colleagues from different positions did errands.

He said: "At this time, the transmission technology is not well developed in the country, and the reception in a certain location is very poor. At the same time, there are tens of thousands of people using the signal. You may have a signal to feed (transmit) to the film, we use it. It takes the form of human flesh walking. It’s a long way from Beijing Bird’s Nest to our base camp (media center). There are many people on the road and it takes 10 minutes to run. Whether it’s camman (photography) or eng (engineering), it takes 10 minutes to run. Step out, helpers walk, and the sun will catch the rain. It’s so profound!"

In its heyday, News Cable can be said to be the number one TV station.

Whether at the scene of the accident, in the hospital, or in the Legislative Council, reporters wait and see whether they are leaving or staying.

Chen Hanwei said: "Everyone will follow me. How about following? I have a little experience. I interviewed Li Huishi in Guangzhou for a while, and another Taiwanese sports reporter, and a reporter based in Guangzhou. He was in the same position as me, and I was talking about the same thing. In fact, it’s not once and a half, it’s a common situation."

Chen Hanwei said that 2008 was the peak of the cable news sports group.

Joined Cable in 2004 and interviewed the World Cup in Germany in 2006. Chen Hanwei was still a newcomer who was busy doing live broadcasts. However, after the training of the 2008 Olympics and the 2010 Asian Games, he has gradually grown to bear the banner.

In 2012, Chen Hanwei and Lymps went to London to cover the Olympics, and directly hit Liu Xiang was injured. The interview process was very unforgettable.

Speaking of the past, Chen Hanwei still said tightly. He said, "We don’t know that he lives in the border hospital, but we keep narrowing the scope and we’ve seen all official hospitals. It’s like doing intensive investigation reports, paparazzi, and foreign news. You’re not just a sports reporter, and you’re chasing the car to the airport at the end.” At first, Chen Hanwei had no idea. He asked the captain to ask the captain of CCTV about the news. He didn’t expect the two captains to be very old friends. The director disclosed their itinerary the next day, and Chen Hanwei estimated the hospital where Liu Xiang was admitted.

Chen Hanwei said, "We have an exclusive pumi. We waited at the door until she was discharged from the hospital, and after she went to the airport, we had to enter the waiting room. Finally, we passed the central station and went out of the street. The fastest, our department can achieve this level!"

Chen Hanwei also shared an interesting story. At that time, a Chinese team leader wanted to exchange an Olympic badge with him. "I will exchange the words, let me see, and I will reveal Liu Xiang’s passport. Surprised and impressive. In fact, it’s not a news role. I don’t want to be Liu Xiang’s fans (supporters). I don’t want to film the ditch, even if the film is not out of the street." The most funny thing is that Chen Hanwei finally The badge was not given to the team leader.

In addition to foreign visit reports, Chen Hanwei also made a lot of unique local sports reports, such as deciphering urban legends and seeing if there are any African foreign football players who will be in Sham Shui Po Tobu. "There is an African player who runs a ready-to-wear business. He is Lawren. Shi, there are so many black players in Hong Kong.” He also studied the reasons why football players often spit during matches.

2012 was the year that Chen Hanwei mentioned the most. This was his personal and also a watershed in cable news.

He said: "In the first 8 years of CABLE, I was like a player, constantly pursuing myself, pursuing improvements in my physical, mental, technical, and experience. In the last 8 years, I felt that I was very motivated to save, and it was good. Ability, we should let go and try more and change the role of player and coach."

However, the "ball club" of Cable has begun to decline this year.

Chen Hanwei said: "The fastest decline was in 2012. Everyone knows that we voted for the exclusive broadcast rights of the London Olympics, thinking that a free TV card must be a good deal, and if you want to know the last words, I won’t get a free card. The Olympic broadcast rights must be free of charge. As a result, investors must lose a lot of money, which greatly reduces investor confidence and resources. Everyone knows that it must fall."

Limps and Chen Hanwei are both upset about the wired situation.

Since then, the sports team's manpower has been continuously reduced, the weekly show "Qiqi Sports Fever" has also been cancelled, and with the experience of the London Olympics, Cable has no plans to compete for the broadcast rights of the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Chen Hanwei said: "The big boss looks at the fence, and 3 or 4 (sports reporters) are available. In fact, there are fewer people. You have to do as little as you need. (Manpower) will slowly fall." Except for reporters. There are fewer and fewer photography and interview vehicle resources available to the sports team.

The football coverage of the cable news is also a momentary selling point, and the show "Football Report", which reports on the results of the match, was even sponsored by the title.

Chen Hanwei said: "There were 4 major leagues, England, Italy, West, and Germany. There were star competition platforms. You could get together early, and see all the essence of the night. I think it is the first of its kind in Hong Kong." "As a viewer, you can see all the essence of the night, add a little data, and wait for people to know something happened, and put it into a package, hoping to make people feel comfortable, but that’s how It's already gone."

Interview with Lymps|Reporting style is deeply influenced by Wu Huangrong, giving up high-paying civil servant positions for China Cable

Lymps continued: "There is no Premier League (broadcast rights), but there are Serie A, there is Ligue 1, and there is Europa League. Is it possible to do the battle report? No, if you have enough manpower, you can do it, just It's not enough, so it's a heartbreaking thing." Chen Hanwei went on to say, "Sorry!"

Lymps also responded: "It's really embarrassing!"

"Long sigh! Alas!" Chen Hanwei said finally.
