The capital market, on the other hand, seems to have decoupled from it: The Dax is roughly at the previous year's level, and international investors are in some cases even in high spirits: According to figures from the data service provider Refinitiv, IPOs and capital increases have made more money than ever before.
The sum of all capital increases on the stock exchange alone is more than 540 billion dollars, around 70 percent above the previous year's total.
A closer look, however, shows that the majority of optimism revolves around a few megatrends: tech, sustainability, health and China.
