The Savings Bank branch in Sweida and its affiliated office in Salkhad city granted, during the past year, one billion and 874 million loans for people with limited income and those with scientific and free professions.
The bank's branch manager, Bassam Al-Saleem, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the bank witnessed a good lending movement, and the number of borrowers reached 2,108, distributed by 1,830 state and military workers, 274 retired borrowers, and 4 liberal and scientific borrowers.
Al-Saleem pointed out that the diversification of loans provided by the bank to include those with limited income from state employees and military personnel with a ceiling of 2 million pounds, retired civilians and military personnel with a ceiling of 500 thousand pounds, owners of scientific professions with a limit of less than one million pounds and a maximum of 50 million pounds, and free professions with a ceiling of 25 million pounds in addition to development loans for facilities The list works with a ceiling of 50 million pounds.
