More than three hours in line: huge traffic jams in the compound to be checked and drive at the Golani junction

In recent days, large loads have been registered in the queue for the testing complex set up near the Golani Museum, with hundreds of cars waiting in line for it.

On the island of the compound, which is mainly for people who are in solitary confinement, they were sharply criticized: "I did not expect the wait to be so long, I thought of returning home."

In recent days, heavy loads have been recorded in the large parking lot at Golani Junction, next to the division's museum and McDonald's restaurant - where a drive-in complex for Corona tests was set up last week.

The samples are collected from the subjects while they remain seated in their vehicle.

For the purpose of conducting an inspection in the compound, it is not necessary to arrive with a referral and anyone can come and be examined.

The compound is especially suitable for people who are in isolation and want to be tested to see if they have indeed been infected following exposure to patients.

Since Friday, and especially on Saturday and today (Sunday), hundreds of cars have been waiting in line on the way to the testing complex throughout the day.

Daniel Bosso from Tiberias came to be tested today with his three children, after a boy who fell ill in Corona was found in the kindergarten where his son is studying.

He said he arrived at 1:30 p.m. and only at 4:50 p.m. did he arrive with his car at the checkpoint.

"I heard three new editions while waiting," he said.

He had already heard the 17:00 edition on his way back home.

"I was already in the testing compound, both as an examinee and as a reservist. I have not seen a long queue like I saw today," he said.

He said, "This is a big difficulty for those who come with small children. It was very difficult for them to sit in the vehicle for close to 3.5 hours."

Bosso described that "at one point they also asked to eat and I only had one bag of snacks because I did not expect the wait to be so long."

At one point he thought of getting out of line and returning home, but decided to stay in view of the importance of having the tests.

According to him, he saw many who went out and returned to their homes and it was also evident that people were nervous and impatient.

"I saw a woman who went out to smoke multiple times. It was a very difficult experience. I'm glad it's behind us," he said.
