43 Palestinian martyrs were shot dead by the occupation and 4,600 were arrested during 2020

43 Palestinians were killed and 1650 others were wounded, while 4,600 were arrested as a result of the continuous attacks of the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinians during the past year, according to the Studies and Documentation Center of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

The annual report of the center of the Organization's Department of Labor and Planning on the occupation attacks against the Palestinian people, as reported by the agency, stated that 43 Palestinians, including children and women, were killed by Israeli occupation forces' bullets during the year 2020, pointing out that the occupation authorities are still holding the bodies of 69 martyrs in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

The report indicated that 1650 Palestinians were injured as a result of the occupation forces' attacks on Palestinian towns, villages and cities, in addition to the arrest of 4,600 Palestinians from the West Bank, occupied Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, including 543 children and 128 women.

The report indicated that until the end of last year, there were still about 4,400 prisoners in the occupation prisons, including 170 children and 40 women, of whom 700 were suffering from various diseases.

The report pointed out that during the year 2020, the occupation authorities announced new settlement plans to seize hundreds of dunams of Palestinian land, with US support, in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, as well as demolishing 357 homes and facilities.

The report also indicated that Israeli settlers, protecting the occupation forces, carried out 1090 attacks against Palestinians and their property in West Bank cities, which resulted in the injury of 185 Palestinians, in addition to the uprooting and burning of 3,900 fruit trees and damaging about 195 vehicles.

The report mentioned that the occupation forces and settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque thousands of times, and the measures taken by the occupation authorities to deport 315 Palestinians from Al-Aqsa and the Old City for different periods of time.
