During the past two days, the maintenance workshops of the Tartous Water Corporation carried out a set of repairs to the faults in the water lines throughout the governorate, with the aim of continuing to secure drinking water for citizens in various regions.

The Director General of the Foundation, Engineer Nizar Jabour, stated in a statement to SANA that the repair operations included a line in the Haba project in the village of Baiit, another on the road to Qalaat Al-Marqab neighborhood, the first pumping group in the Auben project, and the two generating sets in the Al-Souda and Turkiye stations, in addition to repairing the two horizontal pumping groups in the old and first station. According to Jabbour, the repairs also included repairing faults in Sheikh Saad and Al-Heisheh, a horizontal pumping group on the pumping axis of the village of Al-Sumaihaqa at Al-Mahani station, faults in the village of Al-Haddadiyat, in addition to repairing and operating a Kufuria Al-Gharbia pumping group in Al-Baghala Al-Oula and operating it, as well as a malfunction in the poly-ethylene line in the village of Mi'ar Shaker and Qatar 6 Inch welding of a submersible well of Al-Bayda pumping station 1 and a 50 mm diameter polyethylene line beside Al-Hal market in the city of Banias and a horizontal pumping group in the Majdaloun Al-Bustan project.

Jabbour pointed out that the workshops also addressed water leakage in the Safsafa project station, installed two horizontal pumps in the second station, Jard Al Qadmous project, and a submersible installation in the first station of the Hajj Hassan Bridge project, in addition to the installation of the Ain Al Jarn pumping group and Majdaloun Al Bustan pump after maintenance was carried out in the central workshop with lifting The submersible first station of the new Jard Al Qadmous project

Jabour added that the submersible wells of the Kafr Jawaya project were also raised and sent to the central workshop for repair and installation of the first horizontal pumping group in the first mule after being repaired, the second submersible well in the first “Old” well, operating the well, the fourth horizontal pumping group in Deroun, and the sixth horizontal pumping group in Jurat al-Hussan.
