With the aim of enhancing the service and health situation and providing food supplies in the Shifuniya village of the Douma region in the Damascus countryside, the municipal council began to rehabilitate the Syrian port for trade and the health center there.

The head of the municipal council in the village, Burhan Al-Aboud, stated in a statement to the representative of SANA that the projects in the town are being implemented gradually and according to priority to encourage the people to return to their lands and homes and practice their work because the village has been subjected to terrorism that has caused the destruction and sabotage of service areas.

Burhan indicated that the health center will be completed within a month, to be provided with the medical and health personnel and drugs necessary to put it into service, as it provides health services to 8 villages surrounding the Shifuniya.

He pointed to the direct rehabilitation of the Syrian Trade Point to provide various food and consumer items to citizens to ease the burden of obtaining them from outside the village, pointing out that a special roundabout had been established in the village in the name of the martyrs of the Syrian Arab Army.

The head of the council indicated that two projects to transfer rubble and maintain the water network have been implemented, while the current year’s plan includes the implementation of a project to maintain sanitation, asphalt, road clearance and cultivation, and begin rehabilitating the village’s communications center that was damaged by terrorism, explaining at the same time that the electricity situation in the village has become acceptable after setting up a second transfer center In service, the western side is fed, and all homes have electricity

The council was the most recent center for the Syrian Arab Red Crescent to provide relief and agricultural aid to farmers and people returning to the village who exceeded five thousand families, and to help them continue their lives and rehabilitate their homes.
