About fifty people had to be evacuated Monday evening because of a
"violent fire in the attic"
in a building in a popular district of Strasbourg, we learned from the firefighters and the prefecture.
The fire, the origin of which is still unknown, broke out around 8 p.m. in a building located on allée Reuss, in the Neuhof district, south of Strasbourg, according to a press release from the firefighters who say they have hired around forty personnel and about fifteen vehicles.

About fifty people had to be evacuated from this four-story building and relocated by the city, the Bas-Rhin prefecture told AFP.
"One person was slightly intoxicated by the fumes, another was hypothermic and a third, a bedridden elderly person, also required care,"
