During the past year, the Popular Credit Bank branch in Sweida granted 2 billion and 66 million pounds of loans for the benefit of 2,487 low-income citizens of state employees, military retirees and civilians, according to the Insurance and Pensions Law.
The director of the bank branch, Adham Al-Attar, stated in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the value of the granted loans is good compared to the suspension of grants during the period of precautionary measures to address the Corona virus, and then wait for grants after mid-June until last September.
Al-Attar pointed out that during the same period, 63 thousand services were provided with withdrawals, deposits, account opening and bank transfers, in addition to monthly pension transfer services to about 3 thousand retirees.
The Swaida Credit Bank grants loans with a ceiling of one million pounds to the borrower who meets the terms and instructions of lending.
