Members of the civil defense in Homs today extinguished a fire that affected fruitful trees in the western countryside of the governorate.
Brigadier General Ghayath Aqil, Director of the Civil Defense Branch, told SANA's correspondent that the branch's operations room had received a report about a fire in agricultural lands in the Shein district, west of Homs, and immediately the branch's staff went to the place and worked to extinguish the fire, indicating that the burned area amounted to three dunams of olive trees.
