(ANSA) - ROME, JANUARY 05 - School managers reject the actions taken to prepare for the return to school and 20% of families are in favor of continuing distance learning, while the 50% solution in presence is equally to distance is the most appreciated: this is what emerges in a study developed by the CISL school which interviewed the school managers of the high schools.

31.6% of the interviewees consider the measures developed to be not effective at all, they are not very effective for 51.2%, only 16.7% consider them effective.

In any case, these are choices (or not choices) that mostly see the real and specific needs of schools neglected, while attention is prevalent in the ways of organizing other external services: this is the opinion of 61.6% of those interviewed, while 34.2% believe that the real needs of the school were only partially considered.

The picture relating to transport services is disheartening, considering that 70% of the school population need to use public transport.

Yet - according to the survey - only a small part of the transport companies have changed the timetables to facilitate the staggering of inputs and outputs, while in 80% of cases there is no control to avoid gatherings at bus stops.

The considerable complexity of managing the reorganization by shifts, a reflection of the unresolved criticalities on the transport side, give an account of the answers to the questions regarding the two hypotheses discussed in recent weeks (75% or 50% as a share to be guaranteed): even taking into account that the 75% hypothesis is currently set aside, it emerges that in order to articulate the entrances in brackets it is necessary to change the timetable for over 5 teachers who work in several schools in 45.7% of cases, while in more 50% of the cases, the shift involves the reduction of already structured afternoon activities.

The percentage of those who consider the impact on reconciliation between work and family life to be high is also high, just as the impact on the quality and effectiveness of teaching is assessed as having a significant impact.

The data concerning the requests of families, which do not appear to press too much for the return in attendance at any cost, makes us reflect: the share of those who, according to the perception of the school managers who responded to the survey, would prefer to continue with distance learning, while less than 10% of families would like a complete and total reopening of schools.

The solution of 50% in presence is in fact the most appreciated.

On Integrated Education, the responses of the executives highlight a high rate of student involvement, although the difficulties linked to lack of connectivity and equipment remain, and it deserves careful consideration that the Executives consider it not only a resource that has allowed them to coping with the lockdown, but also an experience that has produced professional growth, therefore useful even beyond the emergency.

Finally, worrying is the percentage of those who consider the staffing equipment insufficient to guarantee a service divided into shifts: 51.2% declare that they do not have a sufficient number of school collaborators, but the percentage becomes even higher (65.1% ) if the schools (21%) whose managers declare that they do not provide shifts are excluded from the count.

"It is evident - comments Maddalena Gissi, general secretary of CISL Scuola - that the many foreseeable problems will be faced by the schools, as always, without effective external support. A discourse that concerns not only high schools, but also all the others school grades that have been working in person since September. Meanwhile, the absence of dialogue and listening contributes to fueling uncertainties and misunderstandings which unfortunately risk inevitably accompanying the resumption of teaching activities ".
