Gianinna Maradona

finally decided to express herself and tell why the family made the decision that

Diego Maradona's

wake

(1960-2020) at the Casa Rosada would last less than 12 hours, thus making it impossible for many people to fire their greatest idol.

The daughter of Maradona and Claudia Villafañe published a long text on her Twitter account.

There, she confirms that the Government intended to extend the ceremony, but

she and her sister Dalma refused

.

After thanking the innumerable words of affection she received after the death of her father, Gianinna highlighted:

"On 25

(November, the day of Diego Maradona's death)

, I, in particular, did not even want to go to the Casa Rosada. They decided that dad deserved it and we went. "

"He came later because the autopsy was late.

They asked that we take him to a place so that people can come in and say goodbye,"

Gianinna continued.

"Many people passed by.

Some conveyed their pain, others were totally drunk.

Every time a group passed it was crying with them. They shouted things at us that really moved you. There was a boy who played the hymn with the harmonica and it was really very strong. My son (Benjamin) was there and seeing his emotion in his grandfather's farewell was a lot, "he said.

Then, in the emotional letter, he reflected: "

We will never have a dimension of who Diego Armando Maradona was and will be. But who was and will continue to be my father

."

THANKS!

In another excerpt, Gianinna noted:

"They wanted us to leave my dad for three days. Three days without sleep we weren't going to be there and we weren't going to leave him alone either."

"For leaving it for a while, only those horrible photos came out," he

continued, referring to the images that were taken and disseminated by employees of the funeral home with Maradona's body.

"In turn, if they spent so many hours there, we weren't going to be able to open the drawer any more. Weren't we going to see it more because we left it there so they all got to fire it? No," he said, justifying the family decision.

"We share it all our lives.

Instead of being grateful for that, some feel the need to criticize and judge us,

" he emphasized.

And he recalled the breaking point of that day:

"We agreed to make it more hours but the tear gas made our eyes and throats shit.

Between the pain of what we were going through and the worry that the fences were moving more and more close to my dad. It was unsustainable. A decision had to be made and I made it when things started turning and unfortunately he couldn't continue there.

In those conditions NO. He didn't deserve it. "

And he made it clear: "

What happened on November 25 is not Maradona's fault. I would have preferred to stay in a room alone with my family and

not blame him for the infections."

Then, referring to the Parque Jardín cemetery in Bella Vista, Gianinna stressed that Maradona

"is with his parents, as he wanted."

"I respect him, who is in heaven, respect for those of us who remain here crying for our father, a brother, a grandfather, a friend ..."

, asked Gianinna.

Then, she ended her letter by recounting how difficult it was to move the coffin from the Casa Rosada to the cemetery in Bella Vista: "I was worried about what might happen to us while we were taking my father to the cemetery. They don't know what happened to the other side, I swear you do not know. Big hug! ".
