Qatari communications and Internet service were cut off in Deir Ezzor governorate due to the exposure of the optical cable feeding the province to an emergency technical failure.
The director of the Syrian Communications Branch in Deir Al-Zour, Engineer Ramadan Al-Dhali, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the optical cable supplying the city suffered an emergency technical failure near the city of Palmyra and that the technical workshops are working to determine the location of the malfunction precisely to repair it and restore the communication and internet service to the governorate as quickly as possible.
