Yannick Bestaven, who continues to climb the South Atlantic, increased his lead at the top of the hierarchy a little further at the last Vendée Globe score on Wednesday morning (9:00 am), while behind him the gap narrowed between Charlie Dalin and his two pursuers.

On the way to Les Sables d'Olonne, the finish of the solo round the world race, Bestaven (Maître Coq IV) has taken nearly 30 miles over Charlie Dalin (Apivia), second at 213.2 miles.

Behind them, Thomas Rettant (LinkedOut) and Damien Seguin (Groupe Apicil) are only seven miles apart.

Rouillard, on the podium, is only 60.2 miles from Apivia, now under threat.
