MK Radir Kamal Smells (Yesh Atid) is taking a break from political life and will not run on the Yesh Atid list for the 24th Knesset. She met today (Wednesday) with party chairman Yair Lapid, and updated him on her decision.

Mariach began her career in blue and white in 2019 and in the Bnei Gantz Resilience to Israel party, as a representative of the Druze sector.

After the Tuesday election, when Blue and White disbanded, she left Hosen to Israel and joined Yesh Atid, led by Lapid.

She was considered one of the biggest critics of Blue and White and Ganz for joining the Netanyahu-led government.

Ganz offered her at the time to be appointed the first Druze minister, and she refused and preferred to join Lish Atid in the opposition, while criticizing Ganz.

"A leader does not betray his principles and his electorate," she said at the time.
