The democrats launched a primary election last year to fight for the "35+" of the Legislative Council. Over 50 participants were arrested this morning (6th) by officers of the National Security Office of the police and accused of violating the "Subversion of State Power" in the "Minato National Security Act" ".
Tian Beichen, member of the Legislative Council of the Real Political Roundtable, said that the police used Article 22, paragraph 3, of the National Security Act of the Hong Kong District to file a complaint. However, he pointed out that another element in the Ordinance involves the use of "illegal means." It’s good to hear that the police feel that the relevant people are using "illegal means", and that "Qiu (police) feels that the goal of the plan is illegal, but I don't know it is to use illegal means to achieve this goal."

Tian Beichen posted a post on Facebook, hoping that the police would explain clearly, “What if it’s not a matter of prosecution? The police arrested 53 people this morning in two operations, "Ten Steps for Speculation" and "35+". Some of them were suspected of "subverting state power" in violation of the National Security Law.
According to sources, those arrested include Dai Yaoting, Liang Guoxiong, Hu Zhiwei, Tu Jinshen, Yin Zhaojian, Lin Zhuoting, Kwong Junyu, Huang Biyun, Fan Guowei, Yang Yueqiao, Zhao Jiaxian, He Qiming, Shi Delai, Guo Jiaqi, Liu Weikuang, Yuan Jiawei, He Guilan, Liang Huangwei, Zhu Kaidi, Cen Aohui, Feng Dajun, Lin Jingnan, founder of Abu Thai Lifestyle Department Store, and others.
