The Syrian news agency "Sana" reported this evening on an Israeli attack south of the capital Damascus and claimed that the air defense systems had been activated.
Additional media outlets in Syria reported loud explosions heard in the capital and flashes of light observed in the sky.
No reports of injuries or damage were reported.
