The escape attempt ended in tragedy in the north:
a 60-year-old man was run over to death last night (Tuesday) on Route 75, near Migdal HaEmek after trying to evade police.
According to police, a private car driver who was driving a vehicle with fake license plates on Route 75 was arrested for inspection by police officers.
When the vehicle stopped at the side of the road, the driver opened the door and tried to escape as he ran across the road.
A vehicle passing in the opposite lane hit the driver, and a medical team that arrived at the scene determined his death.
Police forces tried to find out the identity of the victim who did not carry identification documents.
MDA paramedic riding a motorcycle Maor Etadegi said: “The wounded man was lying on the road next to the vehicle with severe signs of injury in the front when he was unconscious and suffering from a very severe multi-system injury.
We performed medical tests but he was without signs of life and we have no choice but to determine his death on the spot. "
Fatal accident in Haifa
Further north, a 20-year-old man was killed last night after colliding with a motorcycle at a bus stop on Jaffa Road in the city.
At around 03:11, a report was received of the tragic incident at the MDA hotline in the Carmel area. Paramedics and paramedics from the organization who were called to the scene evacuated the motorcyclist to Rambam Hospital in a critical condition, during resuscitation operations.
However, efforts to save his life were unsuccessful - and doctors were forced to determine his death.
"When we arrived at the scene, we saw that it was a serious accident," said MDA paramedic Ari Yules and senior MDA medic Oded Golan.
"The glass of the bus stop was shattered and there was a crushed motorcycle nearby. About ten meters away, on the curb, a 20-year-old man was lying unconscious. He suffered a severe multi-system injury and was out of breath and without a pulse.
"We provided him with medical treatment, quickly loaded him into an intensive care unit - and evacuated him urgently during resuscitation operations to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead."
