Moving is not in Hausham.

Even in the Corona year 2020, the community could not be stopped.

And the next major projects are already due in 2021, as our outlook shows.

Hausham

- local elections, referendum - and of course everything overshadowed by Corona.

In the first half of 2020 things went very fast in Hausham.

An almost permanent state of emergency that demanded a lot from Mayor Jens Zangenfeind (FWG), his team in the town hall, but also from many citizens.

"It was also a very stressful time emotionally," recalls Zangenfeind.

But it was precisely here that it became clear how well the local community functions.

"That is the main reason why we have come through the crisis well so far."

Held on orders despite Corona

In fact, despite all the upheavals, none of the planned projects have been put on hold or thrown overboard, the town hall chief emphasizes.

At no time did you fall into a state of shock.

Zangenfeind believes that this is also an important sign for the local economy.

"We stuck to our orders." Like a company, a municipality must also be able to deal with risks, explains the mayor.

Hausham succeeded in doing this in 2020.

"Of course without us having run an economic kamikaze run."

So the town hall chief was able to put a few ticks in his workbook in the Corona year: The new roundabout on Obere Tiefenbachstraße is ready, construction work for the relocation of the level crossing is imminent, the building rights for the new residential area and the new Bambi house on After the referendum, which had a positive outcome for the project, the base of the Huberspitz is only a matter of form.

Zangenfeind's realization: "If you argue well and don't let the headwind dissuade you, you can move a lot." His recipe for success: "Persistent, but never malicious."

Several major construction sites in Hausham in 2021

The Mayor wants to move Hausham forward in 2021.

The new year should once again be dominated by the construction sites.

While the first infrastructure measures for the residential area are to be carried out on the Huberspitz, the major level crossing project is starting on the other side of the Naturfreundestraße.

Since the completion will not take place until autumn 2022, residents and drivers need a lot of patience during the long construction phase.

On the other hand, the new House of Health at the train station should be ready by 2021.

Immediately afterwards, the community wants to lend a hand on the forecourt.

According to Zangenfeind's vision, nothing less than a real “gateway to the town center” should be created here.

On the other hand, the community will only deal on paper with the possible conversion of the winding tower into a mining museum with a cultural center (we reported) and the construction of a new children's house with a crèche and day-care center on the site of the demolished Argula Church.

While talks are still pending with the current property owners for the first-mentioned project, the funding decision is to come this year for the second.

“Basically, the planning is complete,” emphasizes Zangenfeind.

This also applies to the new cycle path from Hausham to Ostin.

For the town hall chief a particularly citizen-oriented project.

“Simply because it brings something directly to the people.” This is exactly what Zangenfeind calls for the overriding goal of municipal action for 2021 as well.

“We are a service provider for the citizens.

And that's how we have to behave every day. "
