Yesterday (6th) afternoon, a tragedy occurred in Ho Man Tin where a mother and a baby girl fell from a building. The mother and daughter fell to the ground and died.
The two deceased women were 34 years old and 5 months old. They were mother-daughter. The case was handed over to the Crime Squad of Yau Tsim Police District and reclassified as "homicide" and "someone fell from height" cases for follow-up investigation.
The police stated that they are investigating a "murder" and "person falling from height" case in Yau Ma Tei yesterday (January 6) in which a 34-year-old mainland woman and her 5-month-old daughter died.
The police received a report from the security guard at 4:50 pm yesterday, stating that two people were found lying on platform 18 on Wylie Road and suspected that they had fallen from a height.
Officers arrived at the scene and the woman and the baby girl were certified dead at the scene.
After preliminary investigation by the officers, it is believed that the two fell down at a unit on the site.
The police officer did not seize the suicide note at the scene.
The police will arrange an autopsy for the deceased later to determine the cause of his death.
The Yau Tsim Police District Crime Squad is investigating the case.
It is understood that the deceased woman was Luo Lili, a 34-year-old woman with American citizenship. She was a business woman and the only daughter of Luo Lin, the chairman of Chengdu real estate company Jinlin Real Estate.
It is reported that the female victim was found naked when she fell off the building.
According to the news, it is not excluded that someone suffers from postpartum depression.
