Republican Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has called for US President Donald Trump to resign or be removed from office, following his supporters ’storming of the Capitol.
"I think there is no doubt that America will be better off if President Trump resigns," Reuters quoted Hogan as saying, adding that "Vice President Mike Pence should take office to ensure that it is peacefully transferred to Democratic-elect Joe Biden."
The storming of Congress by supporters of Trump was met with widespread condemnation in the United States and the world, even among those who belonged to his Republican party.
