So now: From Monday, November 11th, local retailers can also start Click & Collect offers.

The first Miesbacher stores are already providing the baskets.

Miesbach

- Jogo Berauer does it like on the golf course.

"We assign time slots," says the manager of the Miesbach sports fund.

Every customer who has ordered something by phone, WhatsApp or email receives an exact time at which they can pick up the goods at the store.

The articles are then ready in the red shopping baskets on time.

Berauer still wants to consider whether outside under the canopy or in the checkout area.

In any case, contactless and without waiting, as a generous 15 minutes are planned for each pick-up.

“We don't want to cause traffic jams,” emphasizes the head of the sports fund.

Thanks to the large parking lot in front of the shop behind the Shell petrol station, this can be avoided.

Minister of Economic Affairs: Offer as the “last straw” for local retailers

“Click & Collect” is the name of the sales channel that is already familiar from online retailing.

To date, picking up items ordered from local retailers in Free State was prohibited due to the lockdown.

Only delivery services were possible.

In December, the fear that too many people were in front of the shops at the same time predominated, explains Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger in a press release.

From next Monday the service will be allowed after all.

And Aiwanger appeals to customers to take advantage of this too.

“Citizens should shop specifically at local dealers and not just on the major international platforms.

Nobody can want us to see shops dying out in our cities after Corona. ”The Click & Collect offers are now“ perhaps the last straw for retailers, ”says Aiwanger.

The community advertising Miesbach (GWM) had reached out to this straw in December.

As reported, the trade association had planned a central pick-up station on the market square to support its member companies during the Christmas business.

At that time, however, in view of the Infection Protection Act, the district office had seen no opportunity to approve the stand.

"We are pleased that our idea has now been taken up", says GWM chairman Florian Brunner.

“But before Christmas it would have done a lot better.” In January, however, many citizens' mood to shop is inherently lower.

The GWM now leaves it up to its members to decide whether they want to start their own pick-up service, and also offers their support.

A central office will not be set up, however.

The reason for this is the strict hygiene and distance rules.

"If there were several shops, the staggering of the pick-up times would be difficult to coordinate," assumes Brunner.

Hagebaumarkt still open to commercial customers

At Hagebaumarkt Miesbach, the combination of online ordering and market pick-up has long been common practice.

In the lockdown, the offer was suspended due to the previous regulations.

Now everything looks like a resumption, announced store manager Ramona Fröber yesterday.

Details on the exact implementation will be announced shortly on the store's website.

Incidentally, the market was not completely closed despite the lockdown.

While private customers can use the home delivery service, traders can even shop on site - albeit under strict hygiene protection measures.

Sports treasure trove with delivery service

Berauer also has experience from the delivery business.

The detailed advice - also in video chat if desired - would keep returns within limits.

Even with skis or ice skates.

“95 percent fit,” reports Berauer proudly.

Should it really be more complicated, he would deliver three pairs of shoes in different sizes and pick the two sorted out the next day.

"The customers then put the parcel on their doorstep." Berauer did not charge shipping costs despite the increased effort.

"We do it to keep regular customers."
