The property of the former hospital in Peißenberg still belongs to the Weilheim-Schongau district.

Lateral thinkers do not have direct access to the vaccination center

The local newspaper got to the bottom of the rumors.

"It is correct that we were looking for tenants for the premises in the former hospital in Peißenberg," said district treasurer Norbert Merk on request.

Therefore, a preliminary contract was concluded with an interested party before the decision was made to set up the vaccination center here.

Associated with this was a high space requirement in the building with the option of being able to expand the capacities if necessary.

Fire alarm triggered by defective fire detector

However, there is no connection with the fire alarm in the vaccination center, explained the administration director of the vaccination center, Christian Achmüller, in an interview with the local newspaper.

“The alarm was triggered by a defective fire alarm,” he reported.

The company responsible checked the system and replaced the smoke detector so that the problem no longer exists.

Achmüller ruled out a connection to the lateral thinker movement.

The vaccinations in the Weilheim-Schongau district should continue tomorrow when vaccines are delivered again.

However, everyone who received their first vaccination three weeks ago should receive a booster first.
