Three sheets scattered on a desk and a passing statement from a doctor who became known for another case.

Two details that clearly should not have anything to do with it but that the death of Diego Armando Maradona (60) can unfailingly unite.

The investigation of the team of prosecutors created by decision of the San Isidro attorney general, John Broyad, focuses on three axes: if there was medical negligence and, therefore, a possible "wrongful death", who was responsible for this possible crime and if Maradona's death could have been prevented.

Under the magnifying glass of Laura Capra, Patricio Ferrari and Cosme Iribarren there are two central characters: the neurosurgeon doctor Leopoldo Luque (39) and the psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov (35).

The homes and offices of both were searched, their phones seized and appraised.

A request for a medical history with several signatures similar to Maradona's.

From Luque's house, on Calle 30 de Septiembre al 1800, in Adrogué, they took everything related to Maradona.

Investigators were struck by a number of papers.

Specifically, three forms: one of them was a request for a clinical history from

Diez

to the Olivos Clinic with an alleged signature of Diego and another was similar but instead of a "signature" it had

about 20 "scribbles" simulating Maradona's signature

.

The third was a sheet with Maradona's signature scanned and around it another series of "scribbles", in another intention to imitate or simulate it.

All this caught and draws the attention of the researchers, to the point that

a calligraphic expertise was

already

requested

to determine who made those strokes and for what purposes.

"We suspect that there was an intention to forge the signature, which is not the one we all know, that of the autographs, but rather the one Diego used to sign documents, etc. It is not a crime in itself. It could be if With that signature some procedure was carried out. Everything is being investigated. What it does give us is more elements to suspect that

the combo of irregularities was important,

"

a source with access to the case

confided to

The expertise, which will be done in the next few days, will take as a reference, from now on, an indubitable, truthful signature of Maradona and will be compared with the "scribbles".

Diego's medical history is a point in the investigation.

And it will be part, from now on, of what the Medical Board will review as of the end of the month, when it finally agrees.

The team of prosecutors is still making progress in collecting all of the star's medical history.

"All the material from the medical records is being gathered and the Medical Board will only be formed there," added the source.

Another novelty in the investigation is that

a doctor

who made a striking statement on a television program

will be called to testify

.

This is Yamil Ponce, a renowned cardiovascular surgeon who gained public notoriety after operating on Joe Wolek and Christoffer Persson, two tourists who suffered violent assaults and were on the verge of death.

In both cases, the doctor was on duty at the Argerich Hospital.

Days ago, in an interview during the program of the host Maju Lozano (

Channel 9

), Ponce said that he was consulted by Maradona's environment and there was a very particular exchange.

"A week before his death they called me. It was not his fixed environment, it was not his family. A doctor told me that they needed a home doctor to go with all his team because he needed attention. This caught my attention because I thought '

how can it be, if he has his personal doctor and he must have a whole home stay,

'"he said. The story did not end there.

“Obviously they told me they wanted me to go home.

They ran a budget and they told me '

no, look, they're not going to pay for that

' and

'

so much trouble for a couple of prescriptions

' ...

 They didn't want paracetamol.

I think I'm dropping a bomb, right? ”, He closed.

This was taken and taken into account by the team of prosecutors and the call for testimony from Ponce is imminent.

"It gives us one more parameter of what was happening around Maradona's health. It

was a total lack of control

," they remarked in the investigation regarding the actions of Diego's two medical officers (Luque and Cosachov) and the conditions in which he was developed this "home stay" in the rented house in the San Andrés de Tigre gated community.

Dr. Leopoldo Luque's post for Diego Maradona's 59th birthday.

It was recognized "in charge" of the health of "10".

Maradona, the greatest figure in the history of world football, died at the age of 60 on November 25 at noon, two weeks after his discharge from the Olivos Clinic, where he had undergone neurosurgery for a subdural hematoma in the brain. .

The autopsy determined that the "10" died as a result of "acute lung edema secondary to exacerbated chronic heart failure" and discovered in his heart a "dilated cardiomyopathy."

According to the results of the toxicological studies carried out, Maradona had no alcohol or illegal drugs in his body, as well as no cardiac medication, although they did detect psychotropic drugs.
