Authorities from the Mexican Ministry of Health met this Thursday in Buenos Aires with the president of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, and with some of the officials of the Ministry of Health of that country to analyze the response of both countries to the covid-19 pandemic, according to the Argentine presidency.
Among the Mexican officials was Hugo López-Gatell Ramírez, undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion.
Also Efraín Guadarrama Pérez, general director of American Regional Organizations and Mechanisms of the Ministry of Foreign Relations.
Mexico and Argentina shared their experiences in handling the pandemic, explained a statement from the Argentine government.
"They also analyzed the vaccination plans, access to different vaccines and the strategic agreement signed between both countries to produce and distribute the (vaccine) developed by the University of Oxford and the AstraZeneca laboratory, which is produced in Argentina," he said. the official note.
"In this sense, Mexican officials also requested information on the Sputnik V vaccine, since that country is interested in acquiring it," he added.
