- Due to the extension of the lockdown and the associated contact restrictions, the events in the ambush culture stage will continue to take place without an audience and will be broadcast live on the Internet by technicians.

On Wednesday evening, the sextet "aMuSing" used this opportunity to perform, for which a negative Corona test result had to be presented.

The members got to know each other during their studies at the Munich Conservatory and have been performing together for 19 years.

"Since everyone now lives in a different city, it is sometimes quite tedious to get together for a concert or rehearsal," Christian admits.

Like his five colleagues, he only mentions his first name during the concert and on the band's website.

Contact with the culture stage ambush came about shortly before Christmas via the livestream cameraman Thorsten Thane.

“It's a great thing to have a live stream: we're happy to be there,” Christian praised the concept.

In contrast to performances by cabaret artists, who rely on interaction with the audience on site, the empty space proved to be an advantage this time.

Because this way the perfectly trained voices of the protagonists came into their own.

The men also took up different positions while singing.

For the opening track “Can't Wait Until Tonight” they casually sat down on the orphaned bar stool, only to step back on stage shortly afterwards in single file.

Original compositions and impressive interpretations of well-known hits followed.

The late Queen singer Freddie Mercury would certainly have enjoyed the lively “aMuSing” variation of the song he composed “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”.

Even “I'm only good when nobody is looking” doesn't have to hide from the original by Max Raabe.

At the crowning end of the entertaining concert, the tall Chrissi let his deep bass voice sound again in the Rammstein spoof "Zahn der Zeit" and ensured enthusiastic comments in the live chat.

Over 800 listeners from all over Germany clicked on the YouTube channel of the culture stage ambush.

A four-digit number of users should be reached in the coming days.
