For the past few days, his name has been on everyone's lips.
The youth guarantee, the principle of which is not new, is well on its way to becoming the government's new trump card in its fight against youth poverty ... on condition that its access conditions are reviewed.
This is what the Ministry of Labor is preparing to do, encouraged by a report from the Youth Policy Orientation Council (COJ), a commission placed under the Prime Minister.
An additional argument in its favor, the prospect would appeal to charities hitherto more than critical of the government's poverty strategy and asking - in vain - for a youth RSA.

Experimental in several departments in 2013, then extended to the whole territory in 2016, the youth guarantee offers a monthly allowance (497 euros maximum) coupled with intensive, individual and collective support, on a local mission for one year.
At least two studies have since come to salute its effectiveness.
