Suffering from new keel problems on her MACSF monohull, Isabelle Joschke was forced to retire in the Vendée Globe this Saturday.
The Franco-German sailor, who is currently at the latitude of Argentina, participated at the age of 43 in her first solo round-the-world trip.
She was 11th in the standings.
There are only four women in the race (Clarisse Crémer, Pip Hare, Miran Merron and Alexia Barrier) after the retirement of Samantha Davies (who continues her world tour out of classification) and therefore Joschke.
