A Boeing 737 disappeared without a trace over the sea shortly after take-off in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The plane operated by the
Sriwijaya airline
had only taken off a few minutes earlier in the capital
Jakarta
and its destination was the city of Pontianak on the island of
Borneo
.
As the portal
flightradar24
, on which flights are displayed in real time, revealed, the plane
lost
around
3000 meters in altitude
within 60 seconds
before suddenly losing its track over the sea.
Also, the
radio contact
with the crew had been canceled.
As

Initially, nothing was known
about the number of
passengers and crew members
on board
.
One and a half hours are normally estimated for the flight distance, but the aircraft has not been found since 8:40 a.m. German time.
The route is flown around two dozen times a day by different lines.
