- The tree-planting campaign is an affair of the heart for her: For her 25th company anniversary and a milestone birthday, she asked her circle of friends to donate to nature conservation.

By planting the service berries, Alexander Beer enabled the jubilee to support a regional climate protection measure.

This was very popular with her friends and so they raised 500 euros.

However, since the tree seedlings are covered by state funding, Maria Steininger donated all of the money to the Fürstenfeldbruck district group of the State Association for Bird Protection (LBV), which has been maintaining and maintaining species-rich habitats in the area for decades.

In the Schöngeisinger Forest, 4,000 oaks, 2,000 hornbeams and 1,500 service berries are currently being planted to replace spruce and pine trees that are prone to drought.

The state is promoting this measure as part of the “Climate Forest” project.

Maria Steininger and her friends have taken on a private sponsorship for 70 Elsberries.

Originally, the friends were also supposed to take part in the planting campaign, but this was not possible due to the lockdown.

Instead, photos bring the action to their home.

The forest area Rothschwaig, in which the sponsorship trees were planted, is home to rare forest, meadow and water inhabitants.

One of the most species-rich butterfly paradises in the district, which the LBV has been maintaining since the early 1980s, borders the forest along the railway line.

A little further along the former gravel pit in the Rothschwaig, amphibians find a home and spawning area in a pond created by the LBV.

“The Rothschwaig is vital for many species in the district.

The new climate trees add value to the area, ”says Rita Verma from the LBV.
