“Never take our values for granted”.
On Friday, Gabriel Attal, shared on his Instagram account several photos of a threatening letter sent in January to his ministry.
The author of this letter addressed homophobic and anti-Semitic remarks to the government spokesperson, and threatened him with death on several occasions.
A yellow star is even drawn on the envelope.
Her predecessor, Sibeth Ndiaye, is also targeted by racist and sexist insults.
"We will kill you", "the garbage is burned," concludes the person behind the missive.
Faced with the violence of these comments, the spokesperson, who assures us that he is "not in the habit of relaying the refuse" that he receives, has decided to make the mail and its contents public.
"The fight must be permanent, this letter is further proof," he wrote.
He also announces in this publication that he has filed a complaint.
Wave of support
These screenshots, by the official Twitter account of the En Marche party, aroused many reactions from LREM deputies.
Jean-Baptiste Moreau, Bruno Questel and Laetitia Avia wanted to show their support for the government spokesperson on Twitter.
All my support dear @GabrielAttal.
We must never let this filthy anti-Semitism, racism and homophobia pass.
This sinister character has no place in our Republic.
He must be sought out and heavily condemned.

“Anti-Semitic and homophobic crows aren't just Twitter birds.
They also have stamps and feathers steeped in hate.
We will be with Gabriel Attal so that the little babes obsessed by hatred of Jews and homosexuals are punished!
